Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Lingomatia iOS application and related services. The service is provided by [operator's full legal name and legal form], at [complete postal address and country] (“Lingomatia”, “we”, “us”).
By starting or using Lingomatia, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled; agreeing to these terms does not turn the Privacy Policy into consent.
Eligibility
You may use Lingomatia only if you can enter into this agreement under the law that applies to you and meet this age and parental-authorisation rule: [verified age rule for every market where the app is offered]. If you use Lingomatia for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
The service
Lingomatia turns text into automated language analysis, organises vocabulary, and schedules practice. It creates a private pseudonymous service identifier automatically; no name, email address, registration, or Lingomatia sign-in is required.
Generated translations, definitions, examples, grammar explanations, and practice schedules may be incomplete or wrong. Review important results independently. Lingomatia is a learning tool, not a certified translation service and not medical, legal, financial, academic, immigration, safety, or other professional advice.
Your content
You retain any rights you have in text, feedback, or other material you submit. You give Lingomatia a non-exclusive, limited permission to host, transmit, reproduce, analyse, and format that content only as necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and support the service as described in the Privacy Policy. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to documented backup cycles and records that lawfully must be retained.
You must have the right to submit the content. Do not submit:
- someone else's personal data unless you are lawfully permitted to provide it;
- names, contact details, account or identity numbers, credentials, private messages, confidential records, or personal data about children;
- information connecting an identifiable person to health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, genetic or biometric identity, sex life, sexual orientation, criminal allegations, or convictions;
- content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or that violates confidentiality, privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights; or
- malware, instructions intended to attack the service, or content intended to evade safeguards.
Generic vocabulary about a sensitive topic is not prohibited merely because of the topic. The restriction concerns identifiable people and unlawful or unnecessary personal information. Review and redact recognised photo text before tapping Analyze. Photos are read on the device for OCR; the editable recognised text is sent for analysis.
Acceptable use
Do not probe or disrupt the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access, reverse engineer except where law expressly permits it, evade usage or subscription limits, automate abusive traffic, misuse purchase restoration, impersonate another person, or use Lingomatia to develop or distribute unlawful material. We may apply proportionate technical limits to protect users and the service.
Subscriptions and App Store billing
Premium subscriptions are purchased and billed by Apple under the offer displayed before confirmation and your agreement with Apple. The App Store shows the current price, billing period, trial or introductory-offer terms, and renewal terms for your region. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them through your Apple Account within the period Apple specifies. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Apple Account subscription settings.
Deleting learning data, deleting the Lingomatia profile, uninstalling the app, or stopping use does not cancel App Store billing. Restore Purchases may reconnect an eligible purchase after Apple and Lingomatia verify it. Refund requests are handled under Apple's process and any mandatory rights that apply to you.
Lingomatia intellectual property
Lingomatia and its licensors retain their rights in the app, service, design, software, branding, and service-generated materials, excluding your underlying content and third-party material. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended learning purpose. Open-source and third-party components remain subject to their own licences.
Feedback
If you voluntarily send product ideas or feedback, you permit us to use them to evaluate and improve Lingomatia without an obligation to pay you. This does not give us broader rights in learning content or personal data, and the Privacy Policy still applies.
Deletion and ending use
You may stop using Lingomatia at any time. In-app controls can delete learning data or the private profile. Profile deletion does not necessarily erase a narrowly scoped security deletion record, transaction records required by law, or copies awaiting expiry in a documented backup cycle. The exact scope and periods are described in the Privacy Policy.
After profile deletion, another profile is not silently created for the same verified AppTransaction. If you explicitly choose Start Fresh, Lingomatia creates a new private profile and may reconnect an eligible active purchase. Deleted learning data is not restored.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for a material breach, abuse, security risk, legal requirement, or protection of users. Where practicable and lawful, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Lingomatia available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change as the service, platform requirements, or law develops. If a change materially reduces a paid service during a current subscription period, mandatory consumer remedies remain available.
We may update these terms for service, security, legal, or regulatory reasons. Material changes and when they take effect will be communicated through [verified notice channel and advance-notice rule]. Continued use after the effective date means the updated terms apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Responsibility and mandatory rights
To the extent permitted by law, Lingomatia is provided on an “as available” basis, and we do not warrant that generated learning content is accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. You remain responsible for decisions based on generated content and for keeping an independent copy of information important to you.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory data-protection duties, or any liability, warranty, remedy, or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Law and disputes
Governing-law and dispute terms: [governing law, courts, consumer forum rights, and any mandatory pre-contract information]. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections or courts available under the law of your habitual residence.
